The N.C. Department of Commerce’s Division of Workforce Solutions offers several programs to assist veterans in their search for jobs. The Veterans Retraining Assistance Program allows participants to take one year’s worth of community-college courses and receive a monthly stipend during their time in school. The division employs specialists across the state who help connect veteran job seekers with jobs, and it schedules job fairs in conjunction with Veterans’ Day. More information about the services offered to veterans through the Division of Workforce Solutions.
