Public comments are being accepted through August 19 on proposed amendments to the Criteria for Operation and Implementation of the Job Maintenance and Capital Development Fund program.
Comments can be made in writing by mail to Commerce Finance Center of N.C. Department of Commerce, 4301 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, N.C. 27699-4301; by hand delivery to the N.C. Department of Commerce, located on the fourth floor of the Education Building at 301 N. Wilmington St., Raleigh; or by email to CFC@nccommerce.com.
An opportunty for oral comments will be provided at a public comment session set for 11 a.m. on August 19 in the Commerce board room on the fourth floor of the Education Building, located at 301 N. Wilmington St., Raleigh.
JMAC provides a limited number of grants to expanding businesses for substantial capital improvements and maintenance of high-paying, high-quality jobs that will provide economic benefits to the State, where the grant is necessary for the sustainability and maintenance of the project in North Carolina.
The North Carolina Department of Commerce is authorized by G.S. § §143B-437.012 to implement and administer this program and to develop such criteria as may be necessary to carry out that purpose.
