What is a Workforce Development Board?

A Workforce Development Board (WDB) is comprised of individuals from private businesses, local government, and educational institutions whose responsibility it is to coordinate and leverage workforce strategies within their local communities to ensure that state and local workforce development and job training programs meet the needs of employers. North Carolina has 23 WDBs.
