The Mobile JobLink is sponsored by the N.C. Department of Commerce and is essentially an extension of the state’s one-stop workforce delivery system. This “classroom on wheels” consists of ten workstations, two flat screen television sets and a color printer.
The Mobile JobLink is available to the governor, the local Workforce Development Boards, and other private and public entities that have workforce-related needs. It is frequently used for responding to emergencies and local workforce reductions; attending trade shows, job fairs and expositions; providing services to rural communities; visiting employer organization meetings to promote knowledge of and use of equipment and services; and for providing tutorial and workforce skills training.
Local Workforce Development Boards arrange the use of the Mobile JobLink in their communities.
