Employers can take advantage of many free programs and services to:
Recruit qualified, job-ready employees (professional, technical, skilled and unskilled, full and part-time, permanent and temporary).
Help provide on-the-job training. Employers are reimbursed up to 50% of an individual’s wages for the period of training.
Negotiate customized training programs tailored to your needs. The employer must share in the cost of customized training.
JLCCs host local workforce development professionals from various partner agencies that work together to provide services including, but not limited to:
- Computer and internet access
- Information on local labor market, prevailing wages, tax credits, etc.
- Listing of job openings
- Job applicant screening
- Qualified candidate referrals
- Space for applicant interviews
- Reference library
