Research Triangle Park

  • Largest research park in the U.S.

Charlotte Research Institute

  • Closely associated with the NC Research Campus in Kannapolis and has satellite offices there
  • Ventureprise, Inc. (formally the Ben Craig Center) is a non-profit dedicated to entrepreneurial innovation and incubation
  • CRI has access to UNC Charlotte's Dimensional Metrology Laboratory, which is recognized as the world's premier university metrology lab. This laboratory supports the development of manufacturing processes with dimensional tolerances on the order of ten parts per million.

Wake Forest Innovation Quarter

  • Offers business incubation, capacity planning, entrepreneurial counseling, and training

CREST Research Park

  • One of the most advanced biotechnology research centers on the East Coast
  • Offers flexible research space with adjacent facilities to established firms, entrepreneurial start-ups, government agencies and universities focusing on biotechnology, and pharmaceutical research and development
  • Tenants have access to more than than 80 established researchers from MARBIONC and UNC Wilmington’s Basic Science departments with wide-ranging specialities including aquaculture and mariculture development, natural product research, the business of biotechnology and the development of pharmaceuticals from marine species
