2013 CDBG allocation has been received. The Economic Development portion of approximately $15,000,000 is available now. The balance of the grant will be for residential water and wastewater infrastructure only in the amount of approximately $25,000,000 and is still pending with the Water Infrastructure Authority (WIA). As soon as the release from WIA is received, a notice of funding availability will be distributed.
The final 2012 Consolidated Annual Performance Evaluation Report (CAPER) is available for public comments. The CAPER summarizes the accomplishments of the four Consolidated Plan partner agencies during the 2012 calendar year. A public hearing was held on March 12, 2013. CDBG and NSP grant recipients of the Division of Community Assistance and Commerce Finance Center are required to submit the Davis-Bacon Semi-Annual Labor Report to the State by March 31, 2013. Please follow the directions on the memorandum for completing the report.
Effective February 1, 2013, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) recipients of the Division of Community Assistance are required to submit the Monthly Performance Status Report instead of the Quarterly Progress Report. The new Bulletin 13-1 explains this requirement.

On May 9, 2012, the Fair Housing Project of North Carolina was awarded an extension of the current Fair Housing Initiatives Program (FHIP) grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. This grant will fund legal assistance, testing, outreach and education, and distribution of information.
