8th Annual Sustainable Energy Conference

"Emerging Trends For Sustainability In the Next Decade"
sponsored by the North Carolina Energy Office
April 26-27, 2011
North Carolina State University McKimmon Center

News Flash: Exhibit hall sold out, waiting list forming.
News Flash: Florida Senator Bob Graham will address the conference on April 27th as keynote luncheon speaker.

The 2011 conference will open a series of important high level green energy economy gatherings in North Carolina.  We invite you to join us at the conference in 2011 along with the expected 1,000 energy professionals, business leaders, policy shapers and key decision-makers from across the state and region.

In the last two years Gov. Bev Perdue has demonstrated that expansion of the green energy economy is a keystone of her economic strategy and has moved energy, conservation and environmental quality from policies to programs and projects on the ground here in North Carolina.

Public and private sector spending on energy-related initiatives has never been greater and is anticipated to increase.  The federal Recovery Act has injected $247 million into energy-related spending in North Carolina.  The North Carolina Energy Office alone has issued more than 300 contracts to expand sustainable and renewable energy efforts throughout our state’s economy.

Those who attend the conference will hear from the top thinkers, policy makers and opinion shapers on the energy issues -- from renewable energy and energy efficiency standards, emerging energy technologies, alternative fuel vehicles, expansion of state and federal tax credits, and uncertainty in the global energy markets.
