Domestic/International Travel Development

The Division's Travel Development program drives visitor inquiries and generates visitors to North Carolina by implementing comprehensive marketing strategies that target third-party sellers, travel industry trade suppliers and consumers.  Many of these strategies offer opportunities for the state’s travel industry to partner with the Division as it

 

  • Attends trade shows
  • Coordinates sales missions
  • Conducts familiarization tours of North Carolina. 

 

The international program, which targets both leisure and group tour sales, has representatives in Canada, the UK and Germany that work directly with tour operators, travel agents and media professionals in those countries to encourage visitation to North Carolina.  A list of international marketing opportunities is available in the advertising section of this website.
