  • Sustainable Tourism Webinar
    Energy Measurement: The Key to Energy Success

    Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010

    The Center for Sustainable Tourism at East Carolina University, www.sustainabletourism.org, presents a free webinar on Renewable Energy in Tourism.  This webinar will focus on energy measurement and benchmarking for the tourism industry and how monitoring your energy consumption better can lead to improved energy performance and cost reductions.   It will address energy monitoring and measurement specifically for small to mid-sized tourism attractions and accommodations.  The webinar provides applicable and relevant information to help owners and operators become more energy efficient, save money on their utility bills, and better brand themselves to the growing number of green conscious travelers. 


    Featuring two renewable energy guest experts:
    •   John Meeks, President, Apple Blossom Insulators - discussing general information on energy measurement and energy audits.
    •   Colin and Deanna Crossman, Owner and Innkeeper, King's Daughters Inn - discussing how they measure energy use and energy management system.
