A non-profit corporation, the North Carolina Muscadine Grape Association was incorporated on August 17, 1973 with goals to:
- Promote research for discovering and developing better or new varieties, methods of production, packing, handling, storing, processing, marketing, and disease control.
- Promote the consumption of grapes and grape products and the use by producers of better nursery stock.
- Promote efficient production, packing, handling, storing, processing and marketing of grapes and grape products and to distribute to its members, information and trends regarding the operation and management of the grape business.
Membership Information
Any individual or firm with an interest in muscadine grapes and grape products may become an active member. Annual dues of $50 include board meeting minutes, notices of special events and annual meeting, and listing in applicable Muscadine grower's directories (wholesaler or pick-your-own).
