The Department of Commerce’s Business ServiCenter is a one-stop portal for information, programs and resources to help grow your small business.  

 

Our phone consultants will answer your questions, assess your needs, get you the right information, and connect you with the people and agencies that can save you time and effort in starting a business in North Carolina – all free of charge.  You can call us at (919) 715-2864 or at (800) 228-8443.

 

No matter where you are in the process of creating and growing your business, our one-on-one personalized service can guide you as you accomplish your goals.

 

 The Business ServiCenter provides:

  • One-on-one client consultations.
  • Customized licensing including employer forms and business structure information.
  • Referrals to local, state, federal agencies and occupational licensing boards.
  • Identification of other business resources.
  • A small business ombudsman to resolve issues with government agencies.

Our program for assistance to existing companies is one of the largest statewide retention efforts in the nation, with nine industry specialists making more than 3,000 personal onsite visits each year.

We provide a full array of assistance with:
