Integrating Energy Conservation and Community Development

In Spring 2012, the Division of Community Assistance (DCA) participated in an exercise to better understand the integration of energy efficiency and conservation into the work that we do.  This undertaking was funded by an American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) grant from the NC Department of Commerce Energy Division.  Grant deliverables included:

  • Staff training with an emphasis on housing, infrastructure, and jobs
  • A staff training handbook
  • A staff resource guide and report summarizing the content of the training modules and supplemental information

The final report is below, along with all the PowerPoints of training presentations.
