Community Development Council
The Community Development Council (CDC) was established by the North Carolina General Assembly and consists of eleven members who are appointed by the governor. Their role is to advise the Secretary of Commerce with respect to promoting and assisting in the orderly development of North Carolina counties and communities. The council also reviews the operations of the programs making up the Community Development Division. It may act as an advisory body on any matter referred to it by the Secretary of Commerce. The CDC meets twice a year, generally in the spring and fall. Minutes and agenda of proceedings will be made available on the web site.
