Two Year State Plan Modification
North Carolina’s Two Year State Plan Modification for the federal Workforce Investment Act (WIA) and federal Wagner-Peyser Act covers July 2007 through June 2009. The Modification has been approved by the U. S. Department of Labor and ensures North Carolina will receive the federal funds available through the Workforce Investment Act and Wagner-Peyser Act. This plan period is for years three and four of the current five-year planning cycle required by the federal legislation. Information on WIA and Wagner-Peyser may be found at www.doleta.gov/reports.

NC Commission's Strategic Plan
The North Carolina Commission on Workforce Development’s Strategic Planning Committee developed the 2009-2011 Strategic Plan using formal input from various stakeholders representing local Workforce Development Boards, Workforce Board Administrators, state workforce agency heads, and local and regional economic development professionals from across the state. The Plan was formally adopted on May 20, 2009 and establishes the Commission’s strategic direction for the next two years.
